october 8 2010
our 2010/11 season work is welcoming fall with me flying between rehearsal, office, programming & planning. this first newsletter is both a welcome and an update for our 20th anniversary season... and looking toward another 20!
our culture days tour of the season from september 24-26 saw a lot of folks passing through our studio to check out open rehearsals, levi lingwabo's in-house installation, the raw food demo and summer aRts video screening. our rCurrentz training program resumes for its 2nd year, with over 13 registering community artists; while tanya pillay took her summerworks piece, all of him on the road to femfest festival in winnipeg during the last week in september.
next up is the rAiz'n ensemble's graduating show, radiance by famed aussie playwright, louis nowra; along with their mini conference: city emerging/c next week. then the first of the monthly series come see/come say, brings all our practicing & training artists together to meet the community on the 20th. and if you miss october's activities [not recommended!], you have every month this season to be involved, check out an event, or just come see/come say! and take some time to browse our current blog and website, both have schedules, tidbits, photos, and special info to keep you in the know. see you at the theatre or in our studio soon!
