Freedom: A Mixtape - Live & Unplugged
Freedom: A Mixtape is an artistic response to the systemic ongoing violence on Black, Brown and Indigenous bodies. Presented through original songs, stories, poems, spoken word, and music from folks living in the Niagara Region, Freedom is a community conversation about our complicated relationship with emancipation and the human right to be free. An ensemble of performers give voice to the impacts of intergenerational trauma and colonialism, resilience amidst oppressive conditions, and the belief that joy is a birthright for everyone.
