The Surrogate Ticket Giveaway Official Terms & Conditions

  1. Promoter
    This giveaway is run by BCurrent Events (“BCurrent”, “we”, “us”, “our”). The promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by or associated with Meta Platforms, Inc. or Instagram.

  2. Prize
    Two (2) complimentary tickets to The Surrogate, regular season run (February 2026). Tickets are general seating in Tier 1. Prize permits attendance at any performance during the run except opening night, subject to availability. Prize cannot be redeemed for cash. Prize may be gifted by the winner to another person but is non-transferable for cash.

  3. Eligibility

    1. Entrants must be legal residents of Canada.

    2. Entrants must be 18 years of age or older at time of entry.

    3. Employees of BCurrent (and their immediate family members and household members) are not eligible.

    4. One (1) entry per person. Multiple entries from the same person will be disqualified.

  4. How to Enter

    1. ENTRY (Meta lead form): Complete the official Meta lead form linked to this promotion and provide a valid email address. Submitting the lead form collects contact information for entry and for subscription to BCurrent’s newsletter (you may unsubscribe at any time).

    2. FOLLOW (Instagram): After submitting the lead form, entrants must follow @bcurrent on Instagram to complete the entry requirement. BCurrent will verify that the Instagram follow is active at the time of the draw. If an account is private or otherwise prevents verification, BCurrent may require the entrant to provide proof of follow or otherwise confirm eligibility.

    3. Entry only counts once both steps are completed within the Contest Period.

  5. Contest Period
    The giveaway begins on December 8, 2025 and ends on February 20, 2026 (a 14-day period unless otherwise specified). Entries received before or after the Contest Period will not be eligible. (BCurrent will set the official start and end timestamps when launching the campaign.)

  6. Winner Selection and Notification

    1. Winner(s) will be selected by random draw from all eligible entries submitted during the Contest Period. The draw will be conducted by BCurrent or its representative.

    2. The winner will be notified by the email address provided in the lead form within three (3) business days following the draw. BCurrent may also attempt to notify via Instagram DM.

    3. The winner must respond to the notification within forty-eight (48) hours to claim the prize. If the winner does not respond within 48 hours, an alternate winner may be selected.

    4. Winner must confirm preferred performance date at least five (5) days prior to the chosen performance. Dates are subject to availability; if a requested date is unavailable, BCurrent will work with the winner to select an alternate date. The opening-night performance is excluded.

  7. Redemption
    To redeem, the winner must follow instructions in the notification email and may be required to email     office@bcurrent.ca with the winner’s full name and preferred performance date. BCurrent will issue tickets or hold them at the box office under the winner’s name per our internal procedures. Tickets are subject to standard venue policies.

  8. Prize Conditions & Restrictions

    1. No cash alternative or substitution of prize is permitted except at BCurrent’s sole discretion.

    2. Travel, accommodation, parking, and other incidental costs are the responsibility of the prize winner.

    3. BCurrent reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value if the stated prize becomes unavailable for reasons beyond BCurrent’s control.

  9. Publicity
    By accepting a prize, the winner consents to BCurrent using their name and city of residence for promotional, advertising, and publicity purposes without additional compensation, except where prohibited by law.

  10. Data & Privacy

    1. Personal information collected from entrants will be used by BCurrent for the administration of this giveaway and to send the BCurrent newsletter. By entering, you consent to the collection, use, and disclosure of your personal information for these purposes. You may unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time.

    2. For details on how we handle personal information, please review BCurrent’s Privacy Policy [link to Privacy Policy]. BCurrent will not sell personal data to third parties.

    3. Meta/Instagram may also collect data in accordance with their own policies; please consult those platforms’ privacy notices.

  11. Limitation of Liability
    By participating in the giveaway, entrants agree to release and hold harmless BCurrent, its parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates, and each of their respective directors, officers, employees, agents, and representatives from any and all liability for any injuries, loss, or damage of any kind arising from or in connection with the giveaway or acceptance, possession, use, or misuse of any prize. BCurrent is not responsible for technical failures, lost/delayed entries, or other errors beyond its control.

  12. General

    1. BCurrent reserves the right to cancel, modify, or suspend the giveaway in whole or in part if any fraud, technical failures, or other factors beyond BCurrent’s reasonable control impair the integrity of the giveaway, as determined by BCurrent in its sole discretion.

    2. These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Any dispute arising from or connected to these Terms & Conditions will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ontario.
