Harriet’s Daughter is a theatrical adaptation of M. NourbeSe Philip’s acclaimed novel, presented by B Current at the Oakwood Village Library & Arts Centre in Toronto. The production brings to life the coming-of-age story of a young Black girl navigating friendship, heritage, and the legacy of the Underground Railroad. Directed by ahdri zhina mandiela, the play blends poetic storytelling and community history in an intimate performance setting.
